  For those of you who don't go to meetings anymore...

  when you attended your last meeting ever as a dub, did you know it was your last?

  did something happen which made it clear in your mind you were 'never going back' (not to be confused with nvrgnbk)?.

  the last meeting we went to was the memorial in 2006. we only went because we knew we were already pegged for the elders' unwanted attention, so we had to go to keep them off our backs a little longer.

  The last memorial we attended I over heard one of the loving elder's wives saying "Oh, look at all the submarines here tonight. They pop up once a year for the memorial and think they going to make it into paradise. Why do they bother." So I thought yeah, why do I bother? This is a load of BS anyway. My hubby and I decided that we were no longer going to be submarines Excuse my english: What a fucking judgemental BITCH. Warlock

  	Oh, look at all the submarines here tonight. They pop up once a year for the memorial and think they going to make it into paradise. Why do they bother What a Class A cow. They are the ones that put tons of effort into hunting out everyone who has ever set foot in a KH and inviting them to the memorial in the first place. Why do THEY bother? To make them feel smug and saved?

  She did me favour. It was the first time I really understood that there was NO love among them and that I didn't have to feel guilty for not wanting to be there.

  I wish more of them would be so blatant about their feelings. Maybe more would leave sooner rather than later.

  i have gotten a few inquiries over the last few months about why i am posting a little more recently.

  we invited our neighbours and business associates and their families for and open house on 12 and 13 october, to tour our modern printery in robert broom drive east, mogale city (krugersdorp).. we had a heart warming response and would now like to thank the over 1300 people that toured the premises over these two days.. for any that could not come to the open house, free guided tours will still be available on weekdays between 9am and noon and again from 1 pm to 3 pm, in all the major languages of the country.. the length of the tour can be adjusted to fit the indidual's circumstances but normally takes two hours.. none of the visitors will be asked to observe or participate in any religious activities.

  Why was I so blind?

  now that i can see right through the crap that is the jw religion, i sometimes ask myself - how come you blindly believed all that rubbish for 30 years??!!

  i am so annoyed with myself for that - i have a degree, yet i was totally duped for such a large part of my life.

  and now that i can see how so full of holes it all is, i kick myself for not seeing it before.

  To those who think they've learned so much after leaving the WT, your ignorance must have been truly profound. Perhaps you'd like to share with the class the extent of that ignorance along with what you've learned and which individuals or group has been responsible for your new enlightenment.

  I hope that you did not take offence to my comment. I'm truely sorry if you did. Just to say that most religions are just for social and entertainment purposes is a very limited view on things. I'm not going to get into a Christian believers vs non believers debate. It's been done to death on this forum and I will not take the bait. I was just making the point that if your experience of religion is limited to JW, how can you comment on how other religions are run. I'm sure that people that study paganism or wicca learn and study. I'm sure that to become a Muslim you have to learn what's in the Koran. To convert to judaism you have to learn and study. I mentioned my experience because that's what it is, my experience. I have learnt a lot with the church that I'm attending. I was speaking of my personal experience. I have the right to believe in the bible. I'm not asking anyone else to. I just think that to make a broad comment on most religions when you have not been in most religions is ignorant.

  Sorry undecided, I'm not going to get into a debate with you. You have just as much right not to believe as I do to believe.

  Compared with the rest of religion, alot of what they taught made sense. After all, in most other religions you don't learn anything. It's 99% social/entertainment. It's like the difference between 3rd grade and high school and the reason you can't go back to church.

  Wow. That must be the most ignorant comment I've read in a long time. I've learnt more in about the bible in the 3 years that I have been a Christian than in the 20 years i was a JW. With the JW you get the some rehashed information week after week! After the initial bible study with the JW there is nothing more to learn, no deeper understanding.

  Interesting post! Can't wait to see what comes of that. Everytime they bring out new light there is a mass exodus out of the WBTS. So I say go on GB bring on the new light.

  Shower or bath?

  would you rather take a shower, or a bath?

  i prefere showers with water hot as i can stand and i don't mean in scrub up, rinse, out....linger uneder the water is so relaxing...what about you..?.

  I shower in the morning so I'm nice and clean to start my day and have a long relaxing bath before I go to bed. So I'm twice as clean I guess.
